Colin Sheridan
Founder, Lead Matchmaker, Chaperone, Course Instructor
Colin is a professional matchmaker and a member of the IAPO International Association of Professional Matchmakers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Studies. Colin has worked with individuals with autism spectrum disorder as an ABA Therapist for over 10 years, and draws on this experience for inspiration in creating Spectrumatch.
Through my time as an ABA therapist, I have witnessed first-hand how challenging dating and relationships can be for many on the autism spectrum. While many of the ideas and concepts involved in romantic relationships may come naturally to neurotypical individuals, it can be more complex for neurodivergent individuals. This is not for lack of interest, but rather a lack of opportunity and educational accessibility. My primary goal in launching Spectrumatch is to provide an environment where neurodivergent individuals can learn about romantic relationships, and gain real-world practical dating experience.
